Verdict

Mark Johnston's Colepeper showed a decent level of form as a juvenile and has to be considered on his reappearance but he disappointed on his final start at two in a nursery and may just be a shade too high in the weights so it may be worth siding with ETON FOREVER, who gets the verdict ahead of Bohemian Melody. Marco Botti's gelding has only raced on the Polytrack so far but he has run well on each occasion, including on his handicap debut last time and he has every chance racing off just a 2lb higher mark today. Andrew Balding's Fireback won well at Lingfield earlier this month and he has to be considered despite a 6lb rise for that success. Roger Charlton's Quiet was highly tried on his second start as a two-year-old in the Group 2 May Hill Stakes at Doncaster and she could be of interest on her return in this handicap off a mark of 87 but preference is for Eton Forever. Michael Jarvis has his string in good heart and the son of Oratorio stepped up from his debut outing when comfortably landing a Kempton maiden at the beginning of the month. He looks worth siding with on his first start in a handicap off a mark of 92.
