Verdict

Dogged won on soft ground early in the year and has won three times in amateur races subsequently. He beat Barney's Angel before the latter scored on fast going at Windsor while Western Stars posted a better effort at Epsom last time. Kells won over a longer trip at Thirsk recently and is preferred to Fascinating Lips but a chance is taken that MISTRESS LIGHT handles the underfoot conditions given William Haggas' grey is expected to improve now handicapping with an apprentice’s 7lb allowance helping her cause.
