Verdict

It was soft going when Sir Theodore beat Lady Joanna Vassa at Nottingham last week and the top weight carries 6lb extra. Rose Eclair had to drop back down into maiden company to open her account at Redcar and Show Palace has struggled off higher marks since making a winning reappearance at the same track last month. TWENTYSVNTHLANCERS was upped in class after scoring at Carlisle and came up short. But Paul Midgley’s charge should make a bold bid back at this level and gets the nod.
