In depth

Verdict

Oliver Sherwood's runners are going well and Quotable can give him another winner here, with Sabreur, Cirrious and Boulevin others to consider. The selection is up 10lb for a good to firm selling win at Huntingdon last time out and now he has got his act together he looks capable of backing that up. He had a few pounds in hand there and with conditions again in his favour he is taken to go in again. Cirrious may well go off favourite and had to give the selection a stone here, which could prove beyond her. She won an ordinary maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot last time and had to work for that success so she is no good thing here. Boulevin put up a creditable effort behind in form Lorient Express at Wincanton last month and as that was his first semblance of any form he now merits respect, while Sabreur is higher in the weights than when well beaten here last time and as such makes limited appeal. But Quotable did the job last time and is a tentative choice to follow up here.
