In depth

Verdict

The market is usually a good guide to these contests but it would be no surprise to see ROMEO DESBOIS heading up the betting given his trainer's record at this track. Rebecca Curtis has saddled five bumper runners here and all five have been successful and Romeo Desbois did enough when a beaten favourite under today's jockey at Ffos Las to believe that he can win in this sphere. Rudanphast stepped up on previous efforts to score last time but the penalty makes life harder whilst Mulranny will need to improve on the modest form that he showed on debut at Uttoxeter when behind Great Hero. The other runner to note is the well bred Good Tack who hasn't been seen since returning a beaten favourite at Market Rasen last September and this shorter trip may well be in his favour.
