HAWKSBURY HEIGHTS was good value for his win in a similarly poor contest at Sedgefield on Tuesday and James Lambe's gelding can follow up here and defy the penalty, getting the vote over Nevsky Bridge and Overnight. The last mentioned also comes here on the back of a win last time having landed a claiming hurdle at Perth in July; he has to be respected but may have to settle for minor honours. Spivitus ran better at Sedgefield last time but may not appreciate the drop down in trip, while Sorrento Moon was no better than plating class on the level and makes limited appeal first time out over hurdles. Martin Todhunter's Nevsky Bridge has shown a consistent level of form and is entitled to be thereabouts but it is hard to get away from Hawksbury Heights, who gets the vote.
