Verdict

The unexposed NUMERO DUE gets the vote in this race but only just ahead of Diamond Frontier and Black Mogul. In a contest that includes a number of runners with winning form Gary Moores' gelding has taken to jumping life well after scoring on his debut over obstacles at Sedgefield in September. That form was stood up when the third went off to win but the six-year-old could only land fourth of 16 last time under a penalty. Some of the rating still point to that being an improved performance and the extra few furlongs will also help his cause. Diamond Frontier picked up smartly from where he left off last term with a smart performance to land second place in a similar contest on his last run. The heavy ground won't be of too much concern after this Wylie owned five-year-old scored in testing conditions at Tramore last season. An accurate jumper and on the improve he is definitely in with chances. Black Mogul is another one who seems to be getting better with every run. An impressive sequence of places culminated in a victory last time out over course and distance in similar company. Either second on third in the four runs prior to that it seems he's finally found his distance and will be looking to build on that here. Inner Voice gives a lot of weight to his rivals but has to be watched as he comes here on a hurdles three timer. Both previous victories have come in similar company but he may just find the ground too testing on this occasion. Nicky Richard's Ballybanks also has a claim on point-to-point form but it's Numero Due for us.
