In depth

Verdict

A tricky race to call but we will give the tentative vote to Baby Sister with both Royal Game and Boulevin worth noting. The selection is winless in twenty one outings but has shown a level of ability good enough to win a race of this nature. She drops in grade for the first time here and has been in good heart of late. She finished fourth of sixteen in a handicap at Newcastle last time out and has run well at this track in the past which is a real bonus. So with this drop in grade and course form on her side she has more ticks next to her name than most of her rivals. Royal Game comes back after a break of six months and although he is another maiden in the race he has run well fresh in the past. Yes he has been frustrating but in a race of this nature he is respected and could run well. Boulevin wears cheek pieces for the first time to keep his mind focused. He has though in the past pulled quite hard early on which could pose a problem at such a stiff track. He was though good enough to win on the flat albeit some time ago but any market support should be noted. But for the winner we return to Baby Sitter.
