Verdict

This is a big field for a race of this nature but past form probably allows us to put a line through a few. Attention Please looks the pick of Rose Dobbin's three runners having being placed twice at Cartmel in the summer. Alpine Secret has travelled up from Gloucestershire and is the type to do better now tackling fences but bumper and hurdles winner Western Jo has yet to show much aptitude for jumping the larger obstacles. PERSEID appears to be improving with experience and is potentially well treated in chases. A repeat of his recent third at Sedgefield may well be good enough here.
