Verdict

MO ROUGE has yet to score over fences due to his trait of getting too far back early on in his races before staying on late. He could never be a confident choice but could be suited by this stiff finish and is sure to go off at an each-way price. The very best of his form would see him go close. Heart O Annandale is another with his quirks and frequently comes on and off the bridle in his races but is another with the ability to be on the premises if he's on a going day which is not always guaranteed. He has gone well here in the past too and Ross Chapman is a promising conditional. Johnny Go is the one unproven over fences with scope for improvement and is worth a place on the shortlist along with former hunter chaser Bafana Choice, who has gone well here before too and now takes his place in the handicap ranks. Notonebuttwo showed improved form to score here the last day - his best form for some time - and would have a claim if able to perform to a similar level off a 6lb higher mark.
