Verdict

This race will not take much winning and Paul Webber's Tarasco is impossible to oppose. A fair hurdler, he has shaped reasonably well in two starts over fences in better company, and while he is probably no world beater this is his easiest task to date over fences and he gets the confident vote. The remainder make little appeal, but Shannon Quest, runner-up at Folkestone last May, is marginally preferred to the thoroughly exposed Stopwatch, who seems to have trouble clearing his fences.
