Pennywell has struggled off higher marks since scoring at Uttoxeter in November. Amberjam keeps finding one too good but is a previous course and distance winner who will again benefit from Maxime Tissier’s claim and he holds Innisfree Lad on the form book. HOKE COLBURN has had a break since winning over 2m4f at Southwell. He’ll need to settle better here to get home but that race has worked out well and Harry Whittington’s top weight has had just the five runs over hurdles so far. Ask Catkin is another with scope but it’s a long time since Moidore got his head in front. Bulfin Island has been difficult to train and may need this.
