In depth

Verdict

WALTER WHITE shrugged off a penalty at Newton Abbot last week to land the odds in good style. He has an extra 7lb to contend with here but there looks plenty more to come and he's preferred to Kitchapoly. The latter won twice in France earlier in the year and showed some promise on his first start for Donald McCain at Cartmel while Hanga Roa won well at Fontwell last time but beat little and will need further improvement to land this. Getaway Car has won a couple of lowly handicaps on the Flat and makes more appeal than fellow hurdling debutant Day In Day Out.
