Verdict

The consistent Tathmin has been running well over fences without actually getting his head in front. Back over hurdles here he can prove too strong for his rivals. The maiden Crack Regiment has had plenty of chances to put his head in front and should again find this too competitive for him, so it may be left to course and distance winner Bali Strong to chase him home. Silver Gift has been in good form this summer and will be more at home over this trip, having found two and three quarter miles to sharp for her at Fontwell.
