Verdict

SHUBAAT, twice a winner on decent ground on the Flat, couldn't handle heavy going and a much longer trip on his hurdling debut on this track and is expected to leave that form well behind. He can take this though May Be Some Time looks a threat as he won three races on the Flat and made a reasonable hurdling debut in a better race than this here in December. Winning point-to-pointer Speedy Tunes has shown nothing so far over hurdles though over much longer trips. Unex Modigliani disappointed on the level after a promising introduction for Michael Bell but his new handler will get the best out of him. Warrant Officer has shown signs of ability but his jumping has let him down while Classic Rally broke a blood vessel on his hurdling debut at Newcastle though ran well for a long way at Sedgefield last month.
