In depth

Verdict

Well beaten in Listed company on New Year’s Day, Mr Pumblechook won a maiden hurdle at Plumpton before that and is penalised along with Hold The Note. The latter came good at Doncaster last month but only just held on from the re-opposing IVILNOBLE. Charlie Mann’s charge faded away in the closing stages over 3m at Chepstow subsequently but can take advantage of the weight concession back over today’s trip. Accordingtogino and Dr Time were both placed on their respective hurdling debuts and may prove best of the rest ahead of Breaking Waves.
