Bobbie Magern has dropped to a potentially lenient mark but is woefully out of form. Old Magic is fairly consistent but probably needs some help from the handicapper and Torran Sound makes more appeal as he's a pound lower than when a close second over this trip at Uttoxeter in November. Lajidaal is another for the short-list but Kahsabelle has struggled this winter and Swiss Guard usually finds at least one too good. ALI BABA ran well for a long way in a better race at Newbury last month and, with Ciaran Mckee again taking off 10lb, could be the one to beat on his handicap debut.
