In depth

Verdict

Beyond The Clouds has won two of three starts in bumpers and makes his hurdling bow today. But BAL DE RIO can draw on the experience of a recent second at Sedgefield on his first start over timber and Brian Ellison’s charge is taken to go one better. An import from France, Bulkov has something to prove having raced only once this year when well beaten at Aintree albeit in Grade 1 company while Calypso Delegator was pulled-up on his hurdling debut but arrives on the back of a win on the Flat at Ripon. Kelpies Myth won a bumper back in March and goes hurdling for the first time here.
