In depth

Verdict

A drop in grade and a smaller field will suit Three Mirrors and assuming he is ridden more prominently today, he is fancied to return to winning ways, with Ever Present and Silver Jack just two in a field full of dangers. The selection showed plenty of ability last season in his first year over fences and assuming that the ground doesn't deteriorate too badly, a big run looks forthcoming now facing as easier company. Ever Present was outclassed on his final start last season but now dropped in class he should go well with soft ground ideal. Silver Jack is one of three course and distance winners in the lineup, and he unshipped his jockey fairly early last time in the Becher Chase. Euro American should come on for his run and will appreciate the drop in trip, whilst More Likely looks up against it. Scribano Eile must be feared off a light-weight and assuming he runs up to the form of his recent win, he should be a major player today. Patricksnineteenth has claims if his jumping holds up, however it is Three Mirrors who can score.
