Verdict

Sharney Sike scrambled home in a novices' handicap at Newcastle following a lengthy absence. He should be a factor here if that hasn't taken too much out of him but Paul Henderson has sent DOHENY BAR up from Hampshire and, if in the same mood as when scoring by six lengths at Plumpton, he should take all the beating. Quinder Spring seems to have lost his way but is well treated on his old form. He makes more appeal than Uttoxeter fourth Samtheman and Discoverie, who could only manage third in an even worse race at Hexham last month when sent off favourite.
