In depth

Verdict

The once-reluctant Pete has discovered a new lease of life since teaming up with Lucy Alexander and now chasing a hat-trick after wins at Sedgefield and Carlisle. Jawaab won a maiden hurdle at Sedgefield last month but the second let the form down next time and he's been done no favours by the handicapper here, while Weetfromthechaff was put up 9lb for winning over C&D last time though appears to have the beating of Aggravation on that run. GRAND DIAMOND is only 3lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago and has had a few runs on the Flat recently to blow away the cobwebs. Jim Goldie's charge may be the one to beat again.
