In depth

Verdict

This revolves around JOLIE CRICKETTE, who has already harvested plenty of experience for a 4-y-o in France, having competed a total of 18 times in her native land over hurdles and fences, posting three successes over the larger obstacles. She made no show though on her Haydock debut for the Alexander team when pulling up and is only put forward as a tentative suggestion in what looks a modest affair. Any return to form would make her the one to beat but there is a question mark after than uninspiring UK debut. Paper Roses has shown more than enough in her three bumper outings to indicate she can land an ordinary novice hurdle and is a likely beneficiary should the selection fail to fire, although Moon Over Rio cannot be discounted on the best of her form. Moreover, she was still in contention when falling three out in a Sedgefield handicap last month. Patsy Milan is worth a market check too on debut for Donald McCain.
