In depth

Verdict

FRANCO IS MY NAME was back to something like his best at Lingfield last time when second to Layline in a higher grade handicap than this. Peter Hedger's charge needs only to repeat that effort to come out best here. Scamperdale can figure on his best form, though he hasn't shown that in a while, and Shieldmaiden has failed to improve on January's win at Wolverhampton in a couple of starts since. Sand Skier is usually thereabouts but hard to win with and Brouhaha makes more appeal on the pick of his form.
