Verdict

Magroom can land the finale at the expense of Pab Special and Hypocrisy. The selection has been in the form of his life at present winning at Bath on his penultimate outing back in October and not going down without a fight when second to Prince Noel at Wolverhampton earlier in the month. The five pounds rise in the weights seems fair enough and if producing his best he can win again. Pab Special has not won since August of last year and can be expensive to follow. Having said that he did run well when second behind Abbondanza at Wolverhampton last time out to suggest that he could be back to his best. If so the market could be a good guide and any market support should be followed. Hypocrisy is a true all weather specialist having won three times at Wolverhampton. His latest second at Dundalk reads well and once again he has to be respected as he crosses the Irish sea once more. But for the winner we return to Magroom.
