In depth

Verdict

This is tougher than the race Angelena Ballerina won at Wolverhampton last time and Chella Thriller makes more appeal. The latter wasn't beaten far in her bid for hat trick at Lingfield last month but form at this course swings things the way of HAVING A BALL. Geoffrey Deacon's charge has won five times here and having finished ahead of Lytham over track and trip last time and beaten Saint Irene and Legal Legacy when fourth before that, he gets the nod. Cane Cat is a rare winner nowadays but has dropped to a winning mark if anywhere near her best.
