Verdict

Only five go for the final race on the card, with Lodger having shown enough to warrant support ahead of Super Cannes and High Resolve. Jeremy Noseda's charge ran a great race in the King George Handicap at Royal Ascot, stepping out of maiden company to finish a close third behind Fantastic Love. That was on the back of three educational outings at Newmarket and the experience at a higher level will not be lost on this fast-learning son of Grand Lodge. Geoff Wragg's Super Cannes is also worthy of respect, having been placed on all three starts so far, including when second at Pontefract 10 days ago. However, that form is not as good as the selection's. Nor is that of High Resolve, third in a Haydock Maiden last time, but who will be suited by the step up in trip. Teresa is still learning and the only other runner Moments Of Joy is making her debut, so it really should go to Lodger who can outstay his four rivals.
