In depth

Verdict

In the opener, Turnkey gets the call here ahead of Fortnum and Planet Tomato. Turnkey showed plenty of promise on his Newmarket debut at at time when his stable was not going particularly well and he can show the benefit of that run and go well here. There is little in the way of form to go on here but the Hannon representative looks a likely type on breeding, while Planet Tomato showed plenty of promise on his Newbury debut and, being a big colt from a stable whose debutantes generally need a run, he rates a big danger to the selection. Stedfast McStaunch might find things happening a bit too quickly for him but First Rule is related to plenty of winners. Flying Pass, Richard Hannon's other runner Atsos and Wilko are ones to watch out for in the betting, but the selection remains Turnkey.
