In depth

Verdict

Syrinx is a well-bred filly and is worth chancing here. In Transit and Redhead are others to keep tabs on in the betting market. Redhead ran keenly on her debut last month but is sure to have learned plenty from the experience. There are plenty of winners in her pedigree and she is a noteworthy contender. In Transit won a modest contest at Brighton five days ago and, as is the case with Asaint Needs Brass, has a penalty to contend with today. Still, he is going the right way and cannot be ruled out. However, Syrinx - an expensive purchase from the Goffs sales - has plenty going for her on recent evidence from her yard's juveniles. Jeremy Noseda has a 60% strike-rate with his youngsters this season and the Newmarket handler again appears to have found a good platform from which to launch another interesting prospect.
