A headscratcher in all senses of the word and AUSSIE BLUE is chanced at the likely odds with Having A Ball and Burnbrake worthy of respect. Richard Whitaker's five-year-old has ran creditably on a right handed track in the past and while he is yet to win on an artificial surface, he does represent a yard that are running well at present. Having A Ball's most recent start can be safely ignored as he is much better on this surface rather than on turf. A second behind Dinner Date is solid form compared to many on offer. Burnbrake is exposed though has ran with credit off similar marks over course-and-distance. The Mumbo is kept in blinkers having stayed on well over seven at Lingfield Park in claiming company. King Of Legend only just failed to score in a similar event last week and will be in off the same handicap mark tonight. Sketchy formlines but plenty of cases can be made for most of these and Aussie Blue is our pick.
