In depth

Verdict

Champagne Express is on the comeback trail and might need this. Oh Land Abloom probably has the beating of Stonemadforspeed on hurdles form and it’s easy to envisage General Ginger enjoying this surface. Mercian King has a first run since falling in a chase at Fakenham, however. PETER THE MAYO MAN also fell last time over fences but was going well at the time. A bumper winner in Ireland, he was also placed in a Grade 2 over hurdles here a year ago so should take all the beating with bumper winner Peculiar Places pulled up on his hurdling debut at Ludlow.
