Amarna is in a rich vein of form and can continue on the upgrade by defying top weight to take this, while Cape Hawk is probably strongest in opposition. Amarna has completed a hat-trick, including two wins here and a turf succes at Sandown last time, but won with authority there and was value for a fair bit more than the official length he had in hand. A 6lb rise does not look enough to stop him. Cape Hawk was slightly unlucky not to finish closer last time, having been squeezed for room over c&d, and we may not yet have seen the best of Richard Hannon's gelding, so he is definitely respected. Jaleela did not impress last time but previously had looked useful at Newmarket, and she is given another chance to prove herself, while Willie Musson has got Mountain Cat on a roll. The Red Ransom gelding is on a four timer here and although this looks tougher he looks sure to be thereabouts. But Amarna looks open to most improvement still and gets the vote.
