Verdict

HERECOMESTHESUN made a successful debut at Salisbury in September before running respectably at Group 3 and Listed level. He sets the standard in what could be an informative contest. The well-bred Lovely Approach has the advantage of a recent run having defied inexperience to run very well at Newcastle while Lawn Ranger followed his Lingfield victory with a narrow defeat over this track and trip where he stayed on strongly. Chess Move scored at Epsom in July and was sent to Turkey for a Listed contest but was obviously nowhere near his best. There are several newcomers to note including Martineo, who is by Declaration Of War out of a superbly-bred mare while Mozzafiato is a half-brother to a Listed winner. The fillies Culdrose and Dono Di Dio are also respected, the former being the first foal of a 6f winner and the latter a half-sister to a Listed winner.
