In depth

Verdict

There are some very interesting newcomers here including Champagne Perry and Whiskey Junction, but preference is for the improving Our Susie. The selection has shown promise in three races to date, starting off in class five events. In banded company last time she only went down by two lengths by Ask Don't Tell. With further progression likely she looks the best option here. Andrew Balding trains Whiskey Junction, a son of Bold Edge who is related to numerous winners. The market will of course give us an idea of how fit he is for his racecourse debut. The same applies to the Vince Smith runner Champagne Perry, who was a very cheap purchase, but is certainly bred to appreciate this trip. The pick of the others could be Dotty's Daughter, but we return to Our Susie as our idea of the winner.
