Heights Of Golan has posted the most encouraging form so far and is fancied to get off the mark at the third time of asking; the selection may have the most fear from Geordie's Pool and Give Evidence, while James Fanshawe - a trainer that merits utmost respect in races of this nature - also fields an interesting debutnate in the shape of Sign Of The Cross. The last named is well related and would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to make the frame in this company. A solid market move would be dangerous to ignore where this half-brother to Song Of Songs is concerned. Give Evidence showed improved form last time out and will be a leading contender if he is in a similar frame of mind today. Darryll Holland gets a good response from the son of Averti and another bold bid looks assured. He will be interesting in handicaps whatever happens this afternoon. Geordie's Pool wasn't knocked about on his introduction at Lingfield and will be a lot wiser for the run. He has a preferential high draw and it is noteworthy that Eddie Ahern keeps the ride. However, marginal preference is given to Hieghts of Golan, who impressed with his attitude when he was last seen out and, as we know he acts on the All Weather, this fellow looks the most reliable option to keep trying on the evidence available.
