SHALAMBAR scored over 1m4f here last week and carries a penalty for that success. Twice a winner over hurdles, he should have no problem with today's longer trip on the Flat and is taken to follow-up. Henry Holmes was recording his first win when popping up at a big price at Lingfield last time and it's difficult to see him going in again, but The Absent Mare has won over hurdles since scoring at Wolverhampton last month and she's not easily dismissed. A few of these ran into a place on their latest starts including Galiotto and Red Current, but recent Wolverhampton runner-up Rosairlie looks to have a better chance.
