      Verdict

Several contenders stepping up in trip are pretty slow so there are hopes that they will see out the trip, however BATHWICK MAN is a proven stayer and David Pipe's gelding is taken to see off Aaman and The Saucy Snipe. David Pipe's useful dual-performer unseated his rider when last seen at Newton Abbott but he looks a player here judged on his third at Chepstow in August. A nicely-bred gelding, he should have no problem with the surface and he is taken to gain his first career win on the flat. Aaman was a Goodwood winner last time; that was a weak race but he may be underestimated here with just a 4lb rise. The Saucy Snipe disappointed last time out at Windsor and has stamina issues to prove, Eloise has an in-and-out profile but she has ability and is a player, as is Bari Bay who is consistent if somewhat unspectacular. Eightdaysaweek is stepped up in trip on her debut for a new yard, Medieval Maiden is a course winner but has not proven herself over this trip, whilst top-weight Rose Row has been given a chance by the handicapper after a shock 20/1 Wolverhampton win last time out. Bathwick Man is preferred.
