    Verdict

Red Somerset is back on a winning mark but looks some way off his best at present, while Chilli Green is more consistent but likes to race up with the pace and is drawn out with the washing today. Wolverhampton winner Tiradito has so far proved best over 7f and Southwell specialist Almahaza has been beaten out of sight in two previous starts at this track. Point North ended last season with a win at Nottingham and could figure on his handicap debut, but the vote goes to BOWMAKER, who dead-heated over 7f here in February and is expected to improve for his first try at a mile.
