In depth

Verdict

Mirror Lad has thr orck solid Brocklesby form to call on but we will just take a chance on newcomer LOOKSMART with Ivan's A Star also on the list. This trip looks an ideal introduction for the selection has she has smart relations from this distance to over a mile. There aren't many better trainers of juveneiles than Richard Hannon and she shouldn't have to be too special to win this. Mirror Lad was unplaced in the Brocklesby, which traditionally is a good early season indicator and so it has proved thus far. That said he was well held that day so until we see some improvement we'll leave alone. Ivan's A Star marginally improved from his opening run and further progression is expected and Pick A Little ran a solid first outing and should be seen to better effect this time. A tight little maiden this where we just prefer newcomer Looksmart.
