In depth

Formwatch

Highland Reel is still lightly raced and ran a cracker when beating all bar the handicap snip Nimello in the Lincoln. There is good reason to believe that he could prove even better over this trip, he has proved he can handle these conditions and he definitely looks the one to beat. Shayadi was a lead horse for the mighty Sinndar last season and made an impressive English debut at Pontefract last week. He's taking a dive in the deep end here but looks to have plenty of scope and is preferred to stable companion Riberac, who appears to have plenty of weight. Water Jump is another with plenty of scope and he won his maiden on soft ground but the handicapper does appear to have taken no chances with him and he faces quite a stiff task first time out this season. Digital ran a blinder on his return in the Spring Mile at Doncaster and could well reach the frame, while Riverblue was an impressive winner at Nottingham recently but will have much more on his plate here.
