Verdict

DOC JONES, who upset a long odds on favourite last time, can win again at the main expense of Fulham Broadway and Seek the Fair Land. Seek the Fair Land won successive races recently, and a climb in the weights has seen him held in his last two starts. However, he was not beaten far last time, and cannot be discounted. Fulham Broadway has not been sighted this season but was impressive when scoring on his second start at the end of last season. He may just need the run and is likely to be at a short price. It is not often that a winner is only raised 2lbs for a win, but Doc Jones beat a long odds-on favourite at Thirsk thanks to a brilliant front running ride from Jamie Spencer. He has been under estimated, and that confidence booster can see Doc Jones oblige once again-his high draw will help him get a prominent position.
