Penitent is an interesting runner on his handicap debut however he is up against some battle-hardened rivals and preference is for WAJAHA who should find this company less taxing than at Royal Ascot last time out. A winner over a mile here in April, John Gosden's filly was then stepped up in grade to contest the Nell Gwynn and the Sandringham handicap. Neither performances were covered in glory so connections have dropped her back into handicap grade and off this new mark of 90 she should be able to handle herself. Son Of The Cat was a ready winner last time out for Daryll Holland but the feeling is that the race fell into his lap there and this will be tougher, as it will for Penitent who was a good Newmarket maiden winner when last seen but the runner-up has since been turned over at odds-on and there are doubts about the merit of the form. Khor Dubai drops in class, Agente Parmigiano has talent but goes without the cheek-pieces tried last time, whilst Mac's Power runs this course well but tends to be given too much to do from the back. Don't rule out Feeling Fab who looks very attractively handicapped, however it is Wajaha who is given the nod.
