He's just preferred to the likes of Bint Alzain and Chevise, who both take a drop in class after struggling in handicaps off their current marks. Mercers Row has won three times on Turf but is unexposed on the all-weather and could make a bold bid but Mother Jones looks up against it on today's terms.
