Some top trainers are represented in this second division of the maiden including Sir Michael Stoute who runs both Quickfire and Seven Magicians, the former gets the vote here, with Clara Bow another likely to be prominent. Quickfire has already shown plenty of ability, chasing home Free Lift at Newbury. She was the first filly by Dubai Millennium to reach the racecourse and did her sire proud, travelling well throughout and just getting caught in the final strides. The experience will have done her the world of good and she looks set to go one better today. Stable companion Seven Magicians is certainly bred in the purple being by Silver Hawk, out of a Kingmambo mare and it would be no surprise to see this one giving our selection plenty to think about. Of the other newcomers the Barry Hills trained Clara Bow catches the eye. She was a very expensive yearling costing 750 thousand dollars and the breeding reflects that price tag as she is by Saddlers Wellls; out of an Irish River mare. A mile and a quarter will probably be her best trip in time, but should could still take a hand in the finish here. Ballet Ballon, Danzare and Framela are three other debutantes to watch closely, but on this occasion we will stick with the form horse and that is Quickfire.
