Verdict

Producer looks a 7f specialist judged on his five wins over that distance but Belgian Bill has scored over a mile before and won a conditions race over 7f here last week. Ayr Gold Cup hero, Captain Ramius, is another with something to prove over the trip and Sirius Prospect's presence looks a slightly desperate measure after a disappointing season sprinting. C&D winner Pearl Mix has solid claims but another lightly-raced sort in VALIDUS is preferred. He made light of a year's absence from the track when scoring over track and trip a fortnight ago and can take this step up in class in his stride. Instance should also go well with a repeat of his fourth in the Group 3 Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster.
