In depth

Verdict

It's difficult to know what to make of LOUD, who was fancied to make a winning debut at Windsor and did so with the minimum of fuss. The assessor may have taken a chance with a mark of 72 and he's handed the vote. Dominium is in great form and his three all-weather victories have come on this track, though all over 7f. Fantasy Gladiator is another who likes the track and his last run over the course and distance resulted in a short-head defeat by Hierarch so he's on the shortlist. Evident has had little experience but ran very well behind Grilletto at Wolverhampton and can improve further while Sheikh The Reins won here in July and ran a fine race when just failing to catch First Class last month.
