In depth

Verdict

This looks a trappy affair and so a tentative vote is given to Monashee River, with Serramanna and Amwell Brave put forward as the main dangers. The selection finshed just behind a couple of decent types in a Wolverhampton maiden earlier this month and looks on a fair mark for her first outing in handicap company. Just to emphasise the point she had a couple of horse rated 55 well behind in that contest and she could still be on the upgrade. Serramanna put in an improved performance when chasing home Bay Hawk at Lingfield last time and should be thereabouts again this afternoon. Meanwhile Amwell Brave is well in with Bienheureux on recent running and should be capable of reaching the frame. Arsad and Entranced are two others worthy of a mention, but Monashee River is lightly raced so has more potential than most of these and she gets our vote.
