Verdict

A winner at Goodwood in June, Eton Rambler is now 9lb higher after a series of placed efforts while Ninety Minutes has also looked in the handicapper's grip since scoring at Epsom in July. Cape Victoria is another who may have done her winning for the year after landing a double during the summer but Dolphin Village went close off today's mark at Lingfield on his penultimate start and can figure. Dambuster failed to stay 2m last time and is not without a shout but CLOVELLY BAY has more scope than most and Marcus Tregoning's charge gets the vote after going close at Goodwood on his handicap debut, albeit in an amateurs' race.
