In depth

Verdict

Another nursery here and this one can be taken by Lady Sandicliffe, with Marmite a potential danger and Vilna among those set to go well. Lady Sandicliffe has a good pitch here from stall 12 and steps up in trip here from 7f. That significant change can work to her advantage, as there is plenty of evidence of stamina in her blood relatives, and she can find the required improvement to score. Marmite will be a tasty proposition to some after showing some decent bits of form earlier in the campaign and running creditably over 9f at Wolverhampton last time. However, she still has to prove she truly stays for this judge to be parting with his cash. Vilna is another to try a longer trip but looks bred for sprint distances and despite some useful form in context, he is passed over today. A better proposition looks to be Ovthenight, who showed up well over this trip at Nottingham last time, though he is unproven on the ground after a flop here last month and so we are happy to stick with Lady Sandicliffe.
