Verdict

GINGER GREY made a winning debut for this yard at Doncaster last month and looks capable of striking again on this foray South despite a draconian 7lb rise in the weights. Tewin Wood has claims whilst Kurtanella has slipped to a mark from which she should be competitive if blinkers have the desired effect. Mambo Spirit should have been freshened up by a short-break and can challenge but his poor strike-rate is offputting and Al Gillani appeals more as an outright winner as all four of his wins have come with George Baker in the saddle and he's now 2lbs lower than when last successful. Chris's Ridge is of obvious interest on his handicap bow whilst Duplicity wasn't beaten far last time but this shorter trip may not be ideal.
