In depth

Verdict

There is likely to be much more to come from hurdles and point-to-point winner Fox Run under Rules but it's not certain that this trip on the Polytrack will prove ideal. Little Chip was placed twice in bumpers around this time last year and, though yet to win a race of any description, seems sure to be to the fore here given his yard was in fine form before the winter weather arrived. He has to go on the short-list but KEEP KICKING was only beaten a length in one of these at Lingfield last week and his only win so far came in a Sedgefield bumper. He gets a tentative vote to go one better though Peintre Ster, who holds similar credentials, is respected and Ut Majeur Aulmes won a NH Flat race in France last year and was second over hurdles at Uttoxeter in November.
